Andrew C. Denzel, President

Andrew C. Denzel is the founder and President of The Denzel Group. He started The Denzel Group in 2006 after a successful run as Director of Sales at Glotel, where he was instrumental in launching the Permanent Placement Division in the United States. Prior to that he was Director of Sales for the Northeast region, the top performing Staff Augmentation region in the country. Mr. Denzel has been in the IT staffing and placement business for more than 15 years working initially as a contract/staff augmentation and permanent placement Account Executive with Monster Worldwide. After a very successful time at the desk level he moved into management at Hudson Global Resources (previously Monster Worldwide). At Hudson his top-ranked team was responsible for sales and recruiting for the Contract and Permanent Placement Division covering the Mid-Atlantic Region. Andrew has successfully led the Denzel Group to be listed as one of the 30 ‘Fastest Growing’ companies in the Lehigh Valley for 5 straight years (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018). The Denzel Group was also recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the Fastest Growing Private Companies in the United States in 2016 and 2018! He was also recently nominated for the LVB 40 under 40 list, for his commitment to business growth in the community. Andrew is an avid Philadelphia sports fan (Go Phils, 76ers, and especially Birds!) and spends as much time with his family in Cape May – Poverty and Cove beaches are the best! He resides in the Lehigh Valley with his wife, three daughters and a son.

H. Stephen Denzel, Director of Recruiting

H. Stephen Denzel is the Director of Recruiting at the Denzel Group where he oversees the Recruiting process for the company. He joined the team in 2012 after deciding to leave the corporate world where he achieved consistent promotion through achievement for his entire 17 year career at Dun & Bradstreet (D&B). While at D&B he was involved in various Sales, Sales Management, and Leadership roles. Stephen is an active volunteer in the community, is currently the Co-Chair for the Special Olympics, Lehigh County, Track & Field event, and has held this position since 2007. Stephen is a graduate of Susquehanna University where he majored Business. He resides in the Lehigh Valley with his wife and 2 boys. Stephen enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family.

Jamie Houvig, Managing Director

Jamie Houvig has been with the Denzel Group since 2013. Prior to joining The Denzel Group he was the Regional Sales Manager for Hooper Holmes a company that provides risk assessment for the insurance and healthcare industries. Jamie cut his teeth in the Recruiting industry where he began his career as an Account Executive for Ajilon and he focused on both permanent placement and staff augmentation. He holds a Bachelor Degree from Johnson & Wales University. Jamie resides in Auburn, PA with his wife and three kids.He enjoys spending time with his family, barbecuing, and both playing and watching sports. Be sure to ask Jamie about his famous homemade barbeque sauce!

Kristin Freeman,Technical Recruiter

Kristin Freeman joined the Denzel Group as a Recruiting Coordinator in 2015. Prior to joining the team, Kristin worked in recruiting at American Express and UBS Investment Bank. Since 2016, she has stepped up into a Technical Recruiter role and successfully placed both full-time and contract employees. She is a 2008 Graduate from Iona College with a Bachelor’s Degree. A Connecticut native, she enjoys exploring all the Lehigh Valley has to offer. Outside of work, Kristin enjoys spending time with her husband and rescue dog, Scout.

Kayla Crum, Executive Recruiter

Kayla Crum joined the Denzel Group in 2017 as an Associate Recruiter and quickly moved into a full-desk executive recruiting role. Prior to joining the team, Kayla was the Operations and Staffing Supervisor for Limited Brands. She is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing and Management with a minor in Human Resources. Outside of work, Kayla enjoys spending time with her fiancé, friends, family, and of course her dog, Arya.

Elizabeth Wade, Recruiting Coordinator

Elizabeth Wade joined The Denzel Group in 2014 as a Recruiting Coordinator. After taking a few years off to raise her young son, she rejoined The Denzel Group in 2018. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a focus on Criminology from Kutztown University. Prior to joining The Denzel Group, Elizabeth worked as a Lead Corporate Recruiter for a telecommunications company. Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys spending quality time with her family and reading as much as possible.

Kassandra Mantz, Technical Recruiter

Kassandra Mantz joined the Denzel Group as an Associate Recruiter in 2018. She graduated in May of 2018 from Mansfield University and has a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations and Organizational Communication. Prior to joining The Denzel Group, she worked in insurance sales and is Property and Casualty licensed in Pennsylvania. Outside of work, Kassandra likes to spend time with her family and friends and has recently found an interest in cooking.

Michael Schroeder, Executive Recruiter

Prior to joining The Denzel group in 2018, Michael has helped to grow various businesses in the roles of Business Development Executive, and Sales Manager. At Think Energy, he achieved the "Rookie of the Year" award during his first year. He then went on to claim the number one spot and "Top Gun" award the following year, in a company-wide 150 agent competition. Michael graduated from Kutztown University in 2008 with a Bachelor's in Business Administration. He has always been local to the Lehigh Valley, currently residing in Whitehall with his fiancé. Outside of work, he enjoys going to concerts, taking road trips, and spending time with family and friends.

John Quigley, Executive Recruiter

John Quigley recently joined the Denzel Group as an Executive Recruiter. Previously, he operated and managed multiple Lehigh Valley Martial Arts karate schools, being instrumental in the growth of their Breinigsville and Fogelsville locations. John has his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In his free time, John enjoys being outside playing basketball and soccer, and is a huge fan of the Philadelphia 76ers and Union. He also loves to travel whenever he gets the chance whether it be to the beach, the mountains, or even out of the country!

Amarilis Roman, Recruiting Coordinator

Amarilis Roman joined The Denzel Group in 2019 as a Recruiting Coordinator. She attended DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana to complete her Bachelor’s in Biology and English Writing. Prior to joining the team, Amarilis served as the Program Coordinator for the Posse Foundation. She relocated to the Lehigh Valley Area, where she spends her free time with family, painting with acrylics, traveling and reading. As a native New Yorker, Amarilis often visits the city to bond with her friends and balance the Allentown life with Brooklyn’s energy.
