Description
The Denzel Group is helping outstanding insurance carrier to identify a Senior Claims Representative in the Boston, MA market. This position will require 4 days a week on-site.
Job Summary: The Senior Casualty Claim Representative will manage First and Third Party Bodily Injury and Physical Damage claims in a Personal Lines environment. This role involves conducting thorough investigations, analyzing policies, managing vendors, negotiating claims, and handling complex litigation issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Initiate prompt contact with all relevant parties to conduct coverage and liability investigations.
Analyze policies to assess coverage and provide advice on Excess and Primary coverage issues.
Conduct field investigations and manage outside vendors to ensure necessary work is completed.
Timely investigation to establish and adjust reserves as needed.
Identify potential fraudulent claims and refer to SIU for further investigation.
Handle complex claims, including coverage issues and litigation.
Investigate subrogation potential and negotiate claims with injured parties and attorneys.
Attend litigation proceedings and participate in training events.
Prepare case summaries and participate in roundtables.
Maintain compliance with state laws and regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
5-10 years of experience handling liability, homeowners, UM/UIM, and Excess/Umbrella claims.
In-depth knowledge of litigation, arbitration, and trial processes.
Ability to obtain out-of-state licenses as required.
Professional designations such as IIA, AEI, SCLA, or CPCU preferred.
High self-motivation and advanced skills in coverage, investigation, litigation, and negotiations.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Adherence to state laws and regulatory claim handling guidelines.
