Sr. Network Engineer – 6 Month Contract

Description

Our client is a Global Insurance Leader with a need for a Senior Network Engineer for a 6-month contract. This is a hybrid role with 1 day a week on site.


This would be an Architect or senior level position for a resource with experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Azure networking, Express routing (cloud connectivity), Cisco ISE, and Cisco network design with Catalyst 9Ks and SDWAN experience.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

  • KEYS for role: Palo Alto, Express Routing (cloud connectivity), CISCO ISE, Cisco Network design with Catalyst 9Ks and SDWAN experience.

  • Expert knowledge of network protocols, standards, and technologies, including Cisco ISE, TCP/IPv4, VLAN, VPN, SD-WAN, BGP, HSRP.

  • Strong skills in, and direct experience with, ground-up network design, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting in a hybrid cloud environment.

  • Expert knowledge of disaster recovery and design principles and practices, including datacenter failover and load-balancing approaches.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of direct experience in networking

  • 2+ years Azure Network Architecture experience engineering

  • 5+ years of direct experience with networking in the Microsoft Azure Cloud environment.

  • 2+ years with Zscaler and troubleshooting is required.

  • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto is required.

  • Musts for this role: Azure cloud, Cisco ISE

  • Certifications - Palo alto certs, Azure, and Cisco.
